Bio
Dr. Rankins is an Endowed Professor of Physics at Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. During her 22-year tenure at Hampton University, she served as the Dean of the School of Science and Chair of the Department of Physics. In addition to her distinguished teaching and administrative career, Dr. Rankins has also serverd as director of four summer science programs designed for students from middle school through post baccalaureate studies.
Dr. Rankins provides an extensive understanding of the grant writing and review process. Over the past eight years, she has secured over $8 million in external grants that support pre-college activities in science and mathematics as well as undergraduate research -- two areas she champions. She has also served as reviewer for the National Science Foundation on many occassions.

Bio
Dr. Sheikh provides extensive experience from the academic and professional worlds of aerospace engineering. Throughout his career, Dr. Sheikh has authored numerous technical papers, given invited talks, and been associated with four patents.
Dr Sheikh is currently the CEO and Chief Research Scientist of Advanced Space and Technology Research Laboratories, conducting advandced spacecraft systems research and providing engineering consultation services.
